Sunrise Tucana Resort

We would never have expected to have such an amazing stay! The food was so good (don’t worry about poisening, we ate fruit/salads and had ice cubes), every staff member was so nice and it was so clean. The hotel is lovely, big airy rooms. We didn’t have posh club, and honestly you don’t have to. The beach was great! Snorkeling right of our shore was good. But if you want a better experience, take the walk (theres a walkway from the beach) to Fort Arabesque and snorkel from there. You come much closer to the fish and corals, and they have many more variants. There were so many activities to do. Animation team was ready all day and there were programs for day/evening. You can also go to Sunrise Royal Makadi and use their gym, tennis or minigolf. Food was exceptional! We ate lunch mostly at Yades (greek) and our favorite dinners were bedouin night and italian (Gaia). You can also eat for free at Sunrise Royal Makadi, our favourite here was bedouin and asian restaurant. The only negative thing I have to say, is you have to get up early (8:30-9:30) to have sunbeds by the pool. Unfortunately some people just leave their towels for a looong time.. The beach also fills up quickly. If it fills up you can go to Royal Makadi beach, but they will disturb you rather a lot if you don’t put up a red flag. We didn’t try their pool though, but it was massive. We will be coming back! Bonus: If you’re German you’ll love it even more. Everything is in German, all German guests and the waiters can the language aswell.
