Great Hotel
This hotel is well presented and had everything a family of 2 adults and 2 children age 9 & 12.
Room; two large beds for the kids in their own room and a king bed for us.
Bathroom with a shower which is perfect. Always had decent water pressure and was cleaned daily.
Pool; this was lovely. Never really cool and cleaned most days. Lifeguarded well and beach towels were removed if you left and didn’t return within 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Meaning we did not have to wake up early to put towels on sun beds.
Pools were large, with there being 2 children pools, large family pool and really nice size adult only pool.
The only slight downside was the music was very loud and sometimes inappropriate language.
Staff, reception were brilliant, good English and we needed some medication from pharmacy, the receptionist called the pharmacy and handed me over the pharmacist (who spoke really good English.
The pool bar and beach bar staff were amazing, constantly waking and taking orders around the pool in 40 degrees temperatures. This is where we tipped the most, they really are amazing. The cleaners were also were fantastic and work hard.
Restaurant; the buffet restaurant was a little chaotic in my view, not really big enough and most evenings would be searching for a table. There was no really system in place to sit the next family. However; the staff do work hard and turn over tables quickly and we only ever waited a few minutes. There was plenty of food to choose from. There was so much, but it only get repetitive if you choose the same food everyday. They do different stuff, so make sure you try everything. We are at the following al a carte restaurants: mangal, Mediterranean, Yates. Yates was good for lunch, but very disappointing for dinner, Mediterranean was good, but the mangal (bbq) was by far the best and could have eaten there every night.
Evening entertainment; definitely not the best. If there is one area for improvement, this would be it. It is on a weekly rotation and although the entertainment team work hard, it would have been nice if they spent some money of hiring professional acts and providing high level of evening entertainment maybe on a two week rotation for people that are there for two weeks. The entertainment we did attend was average and the kids were bored. Holding a karaoke is not providing entertainment for me.
All in all, we had an amazing holiday at this hotel. We used water slides that are at the sister hotels, two hotels over. Kept our kids occupied for a couple of hours, but that was enough. The pier at the hotels next door is absolutely brilliant for snorkelling if you have kids that are sea sick (like ours) and don’t do boats. Just walk down and there is a lifeguard at the bottom of pier, there is steps in and out of the of the sea.
Would I return? Yes I would. But I like to explore the world and probably won’t go back to Hurghada.
